Serenity

What do you do with the circumstantial episodes that you can not change?

2012 taught me a lot about serenity prayers... While it is so easy to recite the well known Serenity Prayer,  I most definitely learned how hard it was to pray a serenity prayer of accepting a situation that may not be my own personal will while I'm in the midst of my storm and not just on the outside of it. To pray an unselfish prayer... There is so much spiritual growth found in that... growth that I didn't know that I had until that moment and still stand in disbelief off.

I seriously think that losing my mother in such a process and my maternal grandmother in one year were the worse things I've ever had to experience in my life. I don't know what else is in store and I can not and will not worry or dwell on that... Lord I pray for serenity for those who need it and even for my future self. We can not alter Your will, but we can alter our own prayers of our ways of accepting it as peacefully as we can. God's way is what's best and we can not expect to fully understand Someone so above and beyond use. But show us how to accept Your will...

The amount of peace that you allow us to have after we receive the serenity that we prayed for is surreal. Trust me when I say I speak from experience... In the storm and even after... God is still good.
