Four Leaf Clovers

I've only found a four-leaf clover once in my life. I'm not sure if it's because I stopped looking after that goal was accomplished or no longer had time for the simple things in life. I've noticed that over the past 5 years I've been attracting lady bugs. I find them in the most awkward places like in my car, crawling on the floor of my room, in a window in a hotel out of town, etc. I don't know if everyone encounters them this much or if I just never noticed them before.

So I was thinking, who needs a four leaf clover when there are lady bugs? People were considered lucky if they found a four-leaf clover, but I consider ladybugs and butterflies to be of luck too. I sat as a child for moments on end in clover patches searching viciously for a rare clover while I missed out on the other beauties that God had created. Unlike other bugs, I try my best not to kill them and just release them back to their homes outdoors. There is something special about these little creatures that makes me smile, and I don't think it's just because a friend of mine calls me it. ;)

Four-leaf clovers are like the lottery. What are your chances of finding a clover or hitting the lottery? Not everyone will win or score big. Many of us spend so much time wishing we could win it big and spending our money on dead end tickets when the Mega Millions is >$300. Often times, f we just look around us we can see our true wealth and possibly create our own more meaningful fortune. What others may consider to be of good fortune or luck are often the superficial, fabricated things or things that ultimately mean nothing to you. Take time to value the little things that are in your life every day. It will help you better appreciate the bigger things or even not desire to have them at all.
