Chocolate of the Week
He's an athlete. He's a former Olympian. He's an HBCU almnus, holding a bachelor's of business administration in marketing from Howard University. Most importantly he's a Christian man, or at least that's what I gather from his blog found at davidoliverhurdles.blogspot.com. Admirably, he has an organization called SUB13 that helps underprivileged children both academically and athletically. I think I first ran across this guy when he was featured as Essence's Single Man of the Month in April of 2010. Some faces I suppose I'll just never forget. Sadly, we don't get to see him compete in hurdling in the Olympics this year since he didn't make it past the trials although he is the current American record holder for the 110 hurdles. He recently ran into my thoughts again as one of my fav blogs, Six Twenty Seven, featured him on a post entitled "Thick Neck Thursday: David Oliver @doliversub13". His talent is apparent. His smile is contagious. His looks are breathtaking. He's 30 year old David Oliver, and he may need to be more than just the Chocolate of the Week. Maybe we should extend it to a month. Lol.
