Product Review: Incoco: nail polish appliqué

I'm finally getting around to trying some of the samples that I've acquired from Birchbox. I've always been curious about the recent fad of polish strips. I decided to open my Incoco: nail polish appliqué during halftime of the Saints vs 49ers game. Although the concept seems quite simple I found it everything but that. You have to peel the strip off a white piece of paper and then a clear one and tear a tab and place it ever so perfectly on your nail. Well for starters, I have a wide nail bed so I had to stretch the strips and overlap a few. Then when it came down to filing off the excess I can't get the edges of the strips to stay attached to my nails. I don't think the strips look as lovely as good old fashion polishing does and I don't know how long these will last. The whole gimmick is to "say goodbye to drying times, smudges and streaks". Well I'd rather deal with all of the above to get exactly what I like which is neatness and high quality. In summary, I can say that I tried the strips, I don't like the strips and I will never invest another dime on them. Scheduling my Mani/pedi for next week...

Update: I woke up this morning to this... What the heck happened to my thumb? This further concludes why I need to stick to old fashioned polishing of nails.
