Reality Check: BBW 3

Season 3 of Basketball Wives has come and gone for heaven's sake, and I can't believe I'm JUST deciding to blog about it. This season was full of drama, tears, and fighting... Just how we like it. I don't know why I consistently kill brain cells by watching this type of stuff. It's like a drug. So let's start off with the season's newest addition, Meeka Claxton. This young woman has been drama from the start with hopes to get in whatever the "in" crew is. I can't fathom why her skin is always so oil and why she just doesn't look wealthy to me, but somehow she managed to slip her way into the cast. Tami and Meeka seemed to be a tragedy waiting to happen. While I'm kinda happy that someone put Meeka in check, I'm also a little annoyed with the fact that it seems like Tami just doesn't have a limit. I've loved Tami since Real World, but sweetheart, there comes a time in everyone's life where you have to just say "Eff this chick", shut up and keep it moving. You don't have to go back and forward with her every word. Furthermore, if you are going to swing at anyone, whatever happened to actual punches. From Evelyn and Royce to Tami and Meeka to Eric and Jennifer, why is it that these people resort to throwing drinks or palming someone's face. By no means am I condoning a man hitting a woman but let's fact it, Jenn threw a drink at Eric first. So I guess he's wrong for throwing closer and in her face? My mama always taught me to never tempt a man. You tempt a man's hand and you will get handled like a man. I just don't understand why I can't see some real fighting on this show, instead of Royce's dress flying up and hair pulling between Tami and Meeka. Evelyn and Jennifer's meltdown was another unnecessary part of this season. Grant it Jenn only said what all of us were thinking, being that that's her homegirl, she could have at least told her first. In the midst of all the happenings of this season and even the previous ones it amazes me how Shaunie still remains low key and seemingly the mastermind behind it all. It's been 3 seasons and I still am not fully convince Suzie is Chinese, I'm not 100% sure that Royce is as hard as she perpetrates on each reunion show, and I'm not exactly clear if Jennifer's hair and makeup is always a homemade quickie or what. Despite all of the flaws I can find in the show, I will be tuning in next season. Lol. <shrugs> Mindless entertainment is what I crave! In the mean time, I'll be tuning in to Jersey Shore on Thursdays. :)
