Last month, we went to Commander's Palace for his birthday. It was a great experience from start to finish. The highlight of my meal was the appetizer, the shrimp and tasso henican. I could go back like tomorrow just for that. The gumbo was just mediocre while my entree, the pecan crusted gulf fish, was great. The bread pudding souffle is another item that I could do without. Bread pudding should never be a souffle... or at least that's what my taste buds say.
The other highlight of our date was that since they ask what you are celebrating for the day, they brought out ice cream with a candle and sung happy birthday.
