People often ask me how do I get my hair "so curly". The answer is quite simple. First of all, I am natural. Second of all, I do rock a lot of twist outs like most of the natural world. My hair isn't as tightly curled as it used to be since i get it dyed. So what does my hair look like freshly washed and combed with minimal manipulation?

As a naturalista you often begin to wonder if your hair has grown at all. It's hard to see growth when your hair is always curly. I dug up this picture from October 2012 (the week of my mother's funeral... So don't judge) to show the difference.

Opposed to this today...

I'm not one to take hair vitamins or biotin or any of these other tricks to get my hair to grow. Hair can be such a vain quality. As long as my hair is healthy, I'm happy. This year marked 3 years of being natural. We shall see what the next 3 years may bring!
