For the next wash I used Aunt Jackie's In Control Anti Poof Moisturizing and Softening Conditioner. This product has a silky feel, but when placed in my hair it seems to have initially stripped it dry of oil. My hair felt dry and was extremely tangled after washing it out. I normally detangle my hair while washing or conditioning so I found it odd that I was left with tangles when I was combing it out and adding in leave-in conditioner and trying to twist my hair. I also noted that product residue was left behind causing a flaky appearance in areas of my hair. Despite that, today I woke up to moisturized twists (that I didn't let dry completely) and a seemingly decent twist out. I don't see any flakes as of yet. We'll see what day 2 and 3 hair looks and feels like. This product may be a keeper if we can just get over the tangling issue. It may function better of I decide to use it as a deep conditioner under a hooded dryer. We shall see.

CurlBox Product reviews: Beautiful Textures and Aunt Jackie's
As promised, I will be reviewing the products sent in my February CurlBox. This post includes my review of an 8oz jar of Beautiful Textures Moisture Butter Whipped Curl Créme and a 9 oz jar of Aunt Jackie's Curls & Coils In Control Anti-Poof Moisturizing & Softening Conditioner. I decided to give each product a try individually to see which works in what way. I coupled them with my normal use of Cream of Nature Argon Oil Sulfate-Free Moisture & Shine Shampoo and Cream of Nature Argon Oil Strength & Shine Leave-In Conditioner. The first wash I tried the Beautiful Textires Moisture Cream. I did a wash and go that truly had my curls popping! I will admit that my hair soaks up oil and this product probably would have been coupled with an oil moisture or oil. My wash and goes only last a day so that's what I wore and the next day I put it into a puff. I rewet my puff with leave-in and Denman brushed and finger combed more product through my hair by day 3. The puff had popping curls but still a little dry to my taste. I plan to use the product on my wash and go puffs and possibly see how it responds in my sisters hair which if a fresh TWA (teeny weeny afro) since she just joined #teamnatural.
