Know Your Role
Like many viewers, I am guilty of giving in to the world's most degrading shows... Reality TV. So let's just get it out the way and talk about this Love and Hip Hop Atlanta foolishness featured weekly on VH1. The highlight of the show appears to be the love triangle between Mimi, Stevie J and Joseline. It sickens me to see females allow themselves to be the reason why men are dogs. Men only do what we as females allow them to do. If you see he's a dog, don't give into his game by giving yourself to him and expecting that one day he will change. Their situation is more than a hot mess. Although most of it seems extremely over-exaggerated and scripted, I just don't believe you can script pure ignorance in the form of a nut bag named Joseline. For starters, why on earth would you bring the man who says isn't the father of your child with you for an abortion? Secondly, why are you trying to fight over a man period, but more distinctly, one who isn't yours and didn't even claim your unborn child?
There's a cardinal rule that seems to be nonexistent in this love triangle... The side hoe needs to know her damn role!!! When you as a female accept the role as a man's side boo thang, then you must understand that you are not his main chick. You have no right addressing his main woman with animosity or jealousy when you are willingly taking the backseat in your relationship with your man. You have no right to check any woman about "your" man especially with the knowledge that he's everybody's man. It further seems awkward for you to question the man about his whereabouts and female encounters when again... you are just his side line girl. Joseline, my dear, you have some learning to do if you want to continue down this road. I'm not condoning any of the behavior presented on this show, but once upon a time there was a time where a man knew not to bring his cheating ways home. He may have cheated in the streets but his wife or main lady got the utmost respect. She didn't deal with the side chicks or potential outside kids. The women knew to have some form of respect for her because pissing her off would cause the man to get upset and would put the status of the sideline chicks in jeopardy. Let's think about this. Almost every person I know had a grandfather who worked a very tough, manual labor job, brought his paycheck home weekly but come Friday thru Sunday, he was MIA. Perhaps he was with another woman, or out gambling and drinking with his friends in the streets. Who knows where he was, but one thing's for sure, our grandmothers had things on lock at the house. When he came in he had to straighten his act up and under no circumstances was his street or weekend business allowed on their doorstep because of the little yet big word called RESPECT. These women and men of 2012 just don't have any freaking respect!! Does this reflect my definition of respect? Heck no, but you get my drift. If someone doesn't give you the respect you deserve, then leave him for the next person to deal with.
Furthermore, Stevie J as well as any cheating man needs to realize that affairs of the heart can cost you your life. Toying with people's emotions has got to be one of the most dangerous acts. Without thinking of the obvious risk (STDs), one needs to think of the potential danger in the fact that one day one of these women may decide enough is enough. Look at the case of Steven McNair. His mistress knew her role since the wife seemed to be completely clueless of the matter, but the mistress grew tired of playing from the sideline. Do you know a single player that is content with having an entire sports career from the sideline? Is toying with someone's emotions for sexual benefit really worth your life? I truly doubt it.
Those women need to shape up and ship Stevie J out. The man has 6 baby mamas... and yes I'm counting Joseline. An aborted child is still a conceived one for those of you who seem to think you can omit it from your grand total. He has way too much baggage, a flat personality, lack of respect and he's not winning in the looks department. Why would any woman want to be with him? Take a tip: When you see a dirty penny on the ground sometimes you just need to pass it up. The stress and effort in trying to clean it up and make it what you want it to be is only worth one cent anyway. Know your worth...
