Curls, curls and more curls!
As if it wasn't obvious, one of my favorite hairstyles to wear is curls. I just think it suits my face very well so it's no surprise that even my straight sew-ins will end up curly at some point or another. I've worked with everything from curling irons, roller sets to flexi rods, but my recent purchase of a curling wand was one of the best I could have ever made. I am able to achieve nice curls with a good flat iron like a titanium Babyliss flat iron, but the amount of time it takes for me to do so just is too much for me. I once sat for one of the desperate salesmen in the mall in Los Angeles as he curled my hair with a curling wand. Without any hairspray he made a very tight ringlet that stayed in my hair all day. I wasn't ready to make the $80+ purchase at the time. While in my seemingly favorite store, Target, I discovered the Remington Ceramic Pearl 1/2 to 1 inch Curling Wand for just $30. I'm not saying that I won't eventually buy a nicer and potentially titanium curling wand but for the time being this wand has been working wonders. I've achieved everything from beach waves to tight ringlets that I wore in an outside wedding recently. I'm very satisfied with my curling wand as well as the wonderful protective glove (or Michael Jackson glove, as my beau calls it) it comes with. What's your favorite way to achieve curls?
