Mission: Stay occupied

What's a woman to do when she's given a 3.5 hour lunch break in a city in which she knows no one that's in the mountains seeming like the middle of nowhere? Find a mall of course! A few weeks ago the doctor I'm working with had a doctor's appointment so I was granted an extended lunch. I found a Westfield mall called the Valencia Town Center. This mall was complete with an outdoor promenade. The mall was pretty nice with some of the cheaper stores indoors and the nicer, more expensive ones outside. I also found cupcakes. The place was called Velvet Cupcakes. The taste and presentation of the cupcakes had a striking resemblance to Sprinkles, another popular cupcake franchise. I tried the red velvet and carrot cake cupcakes. I wasn't so impressed with the carrot cake but the red velvet was amazing. I had been craving the Cupcake Moscato wine found at Cost Plus World Market, so I found one nearby and spent some time there picking up on things. I also bought some St. Clair Mimosa to go with my brunch plans for the weekend. While we're on the topic, I never knew that World Market had the word's "Cost Plus" in front of it until I heard Californians only refer to it as "Cost Plus". Interesting... Overall it was a perfect was to spend my extended lunch. An even better way would have been if they would have just sent me home for the day, but hey, beggars can't be choosers.
