I'm Baa-aaack!
So many have been wondering where I've disappeared to and
when I would return on my blog. Well, here I am! The simplest answer I
can give for my need for a break is just that life has been taking it's
course. I wrapped up my internship at home in New Orleans. I'm now on
the West Coast living in L.A. but making a 35-40 minute commute to
Valencia, CA 6 days a week. Needless to say, I'm exhausted. Before I
left home, you already know what I had to do... Stop and get some food
of course. The restaurant is called Parasol's Bar and Restaurant
located on Constance Street in one of my favorite areas in New Orleans.
My beau's mom had saw the place on food network one day and we vowed to
take the venture. A girl can't break a promise especially when it comes
to food so on my last week in N.O. she enjoyed a roast beef po-boy and
I, an Italian sausage po-boy. The place isn't quite a "looker" but the
food was great.

Since I like to go out with a bang, we didn't stop there. Our next stop was The Joint which is a nice hole in the wall sort of place that serves BBQ. They had changed locations without our knowledge and we had to take out some time to figure out how to get to the new location. Sadly, I wish we would have stopped at this place first since they were just about to close and had ran out of everything except for pulled pork and sausage. Being that I was craving ribs I decided to pass with the intentions of making it a first stop for the summer. We didn't let this ruin our night. We finished the night with a Triple Dipper at Chili's and margaritas.
