Facebook Shenanigans

The leaps and bounds that people go through to rob you are just amazing. A week and a half ago I check my bank account as I always do just before paying my bills. I recognize not one, not two but 6 charges from the infamous website Facebook.com. Four of the charges were for $75 and 2 were for $1.01. The grand total was $302.02. My heart palpated as I questioned how in the heck something like this could take place. I didn't even know that Facebook could obtain my credit card info. The first thing I did was call the number on my bank statement that's associated with Facebook. Sadly I was lead to a voice message that said that Facebook is not set up to receive voice calls. Well why have a phone number? They then directed me to the credits section of the website. I checked the payments tab to make sure none of my info was present and then filled a fraud claim on the site in hopes to get a phone call back. I then decided to call my bank to get my account closed. Well the issue is that I'm in Alabama, 4-4.5 hours away from home and my bank is not located within a 3 hour radius. I also didn't have bank cards for my other accounts with me. I had to close my account, file a claim with the fraud department in hopes that I'd get my $302.02 back. And do believe I wanted everything on down to the 2 cents back. The bank was super nice and were equally as shocked as I was that Facebook could even obtain credit add info. After researching I found that you can use this sort of info on Facebook to buy games and send money. I was given my money back by my bank within 2-3 days but a response from Facebook is what pissed me off. They first emailed about 2 days later asking for the first 6 digits and last 4 digits of my card and a screen shot of my account statement hiding any private info. Well isn't that just about the entire card number? And why can't someone call to ask me for such sensitive info? I sent it to them and received another email a day later stating that it's definitely a fraud issue and that they would be in contact with my bank to handle the situation. What the hell? First of all, how would you know what bank I'm with without asking? Second of all after being a dedicated member since 2004 this is the type of customer service I receive? Seriously? I haven't had the time to respond to their email but do believe that this blog isn't even the half of it. This may result in deleting my account. I agree with the elderly, Facebook may very well be the devil himself. Smh.
